Dinner will be held at the estate, featuring local products for a delightful first taste of the region.

Day 2

After farm fresh breakfast, we can take an e-bike ride (or drive for those not able) to meet the Butteri, the last Italian cowboys, who will showcase their ancestral cattle-handling skills. Here we will have an authentic lunch showcasing the ancient methods and ingredients.

In the afternoon, after some free time, we will offer an in-depth olive oil tasting and a cooking class where we will make traditional tortelli alla Maremmana for our dinner.

Day 3

Head to Pitigliano, known as “Little Jerusalem,” with its narrow streets and rock-carved architecture. After lunch & free time we will visit Via Delle Cave, Etruscan pathways carved into the stone. Pitigliano

Day 4

Today, we leave Southern Maremma behind and journey north. Along the way, we take a slight detour to discover Castello di Argiano, a historic fortress built in 1200 that overlooks the Orcia Valley and is part of a network of defensive castles in Tuscany. Once an Etruscan-Roman site, it preserves an extraordinary medieval heritage. Since 1975, the Sesti estate has been producing exceptional wines, guided by lunar cycles and a deep respect for the terroir. Today, Elisa Sesti continues this tradition with iconic wines such as Brunello di Montalcino.

After this timeless experience, we will continue our journey to Poggio ai Santi, a truly special place, where we will settle in for the next four nights.

Dinner will be held at the estate.

Day 5

Francesca and her loyal friends

In the morning, we will meet Francesca, the owner of Poggio ai Santi, who will share her story and vision for this unique place. Together, we will take a stroll through the botanical garden, where she will introduce us to the fascinating topic of education in health through nutrition. Lunch will be enjoyed at Poggio ai Santi, offering a moment to savor the estate’s philosophy.

In the mid-afternoon, we will visit the spectacular Petra winery, an architectural masterpiece by Mario Botta, before continuing to Populonia to explore its historic charm and breathtaking views of the sea.

Populonia

For this evening, we take you to Il Bucaniere, an iconic venue perched above the Tyrrhenian Sea in San Vincenzo. This restaurant, led by Fulvietto Pierangelini, son of the legendary chef Fulvio Pierangelini (Il Gambero Rosso**), offers refined cuisine where the flavors of the sea are elevated with creativity and precision.

Day 6

After farm fresh breakfast, we travel to Bolgheri, renowned for its world-class wines and picturesque cypress-lined roads. We will visit a small family-owned winery Fattoria Chiappini, nestled among some of the most prestigious estates in the region, for an intimate and authentic tasting experience.

Leaving the vineyards behind, we head inland to a charming historic village, where we will enjoy lunch in the authentic Osteria magona. A true escape from time, this hidden gem offers a glimpse into the soul of traditional Tuscan hospitality, where simple, high-quality ingredients and timeless recipes create a meal to be savored slowly.

In the afternoon, we visit Peperita, a culinary revolution in the heart of Maremma. Here, over 50,000 organically grown chili plants are transformed into gourmet creations—sauces, powders, fresh chilis, and even beauty products, all made without additives or preservatives. Rooted in a family legacy of olive oil excellence, Peperita takes chili to an artistic level, blending heat, harmony, and creativity into every bite, from appetizers to desserts—even coffee and liqueurs.

The day concludes with dinner at the property, in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, reflecting on a journey filled with bold flavors, rich traditions, and unforgettable discoveries.
